Hi I'm Andrew Watt, your New Zealand fly
fishing guide. I have over twenty five years experience fishing the streams
and rivers of the Wellington and Hawkes Bay regions.
Over those years I have
gained a great deal of knowledge about the trout's habits and moods, about
the methods and techniques in catching the elusive trout, and of the great
fly fishing that the lower North Island of New Zealand has to offer.
I offer you intimate specialist local knowledge of the local waters, both on
the well known rivers and also on the many lesser known fisheries hidden
away in the area. No matter what fishing experience you want, I will be able
to offer you an experience that caters to your specific requirements
When
not guiding, I spend considerable time on the look out
for water to fish. Over the hours spent in the field I
have built up unique insight and understanding of the
fly fishing opportunities here in the Lower North Island
of New Zealand. I’ve lived in the lower North Island all
my life, as well as being able to offer you a unique fly
fishing experience, I can show you a glimpse of
wonderful kiwi lifestyle in this rural area.
'I have taught novice flyfishing classes at the local nightschool and taught beginning flyfishing for years. If you've never flyfished before and want to learn then I have the skills and the experience to get you onto that first fish as well as teach you how to cast and how to fish.
